Situation :
The vineyard is situated on a slope rising from 30 metres to as much as 110 metres above sea level. South-east to west facing.

Surface area :
37 hectares (91.39 acres)

Soil :
- Plateau : limestone
- Mid-slope : clay
- Foot of slope : gravel

Density of plantation :
5,500 plants per hectare.

Grape varieties :
- 70% Merlot
- 20% Cabernet Franc
- 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Average age of the vines :
43 years

Yield :
30-35 hectolitres per hectare

Vineyard management :
Environmentally-friendly sprays, low yields, crop thinning, de-leafing.

Growing season data :
- Flowering from June 1 to June 6, 2005
- Colour change of grapes from August 2 to 8, 2005

2005 Harvest :
From the 23rd September to 3rd October 2005

Vinification :
Vatting period of 4 to 5 weeks, according to the plots, in twenty
80 hectolitre oak vats,
Alcoholic fermentation in vats,
Malo-lactic fermentation in barrels,
Ageing in 100% new barrels for 24 months.

Blending :
Identical to the mix of grape varieties.

Production :
Around 90,000 bottles. No second wine.
