Situation : The vineyard is situated on a slope rising from 30 metres to as much as 110 metres above sea level. South-east to west facing.
Surface area : 37 hectares (91.39 acres)
Soil : - Plateau : limestone - Mid-slope : clay - Foot of slope : gravel
Density of plantation : 5,500 plants per hectare.
Grape varieties : - 70% Merlot - 20% Cabernet Franc - 10% Cabernet Sauvignon
Average age of the vines : 44 years
Yield : 28 hectolitres per hectare
Vineyard management : Environmentally-friendly sprays, low yields, crop thinning, de-leafing.
Growing season data : - Flowering from May 25 to June 6, 2006 - Colour change of grapes from August 1 to 9, 2006 2006 Harvest : From the 25th September to 2nd October 2006
Vinification : Vatting period of 37 days, according to the plots, in twenty 80 hectolitre oak vats, Alcoholic fermentation in vats, Malo-lactic fermentation in barrels, Ageing in 65% new barrels and 35% first fill barrel.
Blending : Identical to the mix of grape varieties.
Production : Around 60,000 bottles. Second wine.
